Just a reminder, Veterans day is November 11.  We wish all veterans to know that we appreciate them very much for their service, and keeping us safe. We will have our craft sale on Saturday, November 17th, one day only.  Come out and help us keep our center going. Christmas is drawing near.

On Tuesday, November 6th, Hughes County voters will elect a new Associate District Judge. We hope they will join us and cast their vote for Trey Irby. There are several reasons why our family supports Trey, and I would like to share just a few. First and foremost, his experience and work ethic.

Vietnam Veteran and well-known local resident Jeff Hinze was recently presented with the Quilt of Valor. Jeff is a graduate of Holdenville High School and very active in the Thomas-Breeding-Buckley American Legion Post 32.

In 1969 Woody and Pinky Williamson began encouraging their children Donnie and Tennie to sing Gospel music. Living in Weleetka they began traveling to revival meetings, singing conventions, monthly concert series, and any other place they could find to sing.

won the Runner-Up trophy at the 2018 Hartshorne Elementary Tournament.

Awhile back I received a copy of the book “The Carrell Ten.” The Carrell Ten is a compilation of remembrances and experiences of a family of ten children growing up in rural Oklahoma in the early 1900’s, and through the Great Depression and dust bowl eras.
