Atwood Fall Festival to be held Oct 20

The Atwood Fire Department will be hosting their annual Fall Festival on October 20, 2018 starting at noon. They will have inflatable bouncy houses, free hot dogs, and a live gospel band who will be singing at 2:30.

Carson Baptist Church Revival

Carson Baptist Church will have a “FALL HARVEST REVIVAL” October 7th —10th . Alan Quigley, who works for the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma in church planting, will be the evangelist. Worship leaders will be Larry and Joann Hawkins of Blue Baptist Church in Connerville, Oklahoma.

Grief Share Moves First Session to Oct 9

Grief Share hosted by the First Church of God Holdenville has moved their first fall session out to OCT. 9. This new session of Grief Share will begin on Tuesday at 7 am at the Holdenville First Church of God “Loss of a Spouse” is the topic of the first session.

Couple Charged with Felony Grand Larceny

Gary Spears, 44, Quinton, and Darleen Renee Hall, 32, Wetumka, have each been charged with one felony count of grand larceny of one felony count of unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Health Deptartment Offers Free Flu Shots

The Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) will offer flu vaccine statewide beginning Monday, October 1st , at all county health department locations. Flu shots will be provided at no out-of-pocket cost to recipients. Those with insurance are asked to provide their card showing coverage.

Pasture Management Field Demonstation at Castle, Oklahoma

Donnie Nero attended and participated in pasture demonstrations held at Castle. He spoke to the group about his work with the Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Okfuskee County Conservation District and how he implementa his conservation plan to improve his operation.
