    Funeral services for James Burrell Shaw were held Monday, April 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Wetumka, Oklahoma. Interment followed at the Wetumka Cemetery.

    James Burrell Shaw was born December 2, 1944, in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Earl and Ona (Shumaker) Shaw. He passed away Friday, April 17, 2026, in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 81.

    James was a lifelong resident of Wetumka and a 1963 graduate of Wetumka High School. On April 22, 1966, in Wetumka, he married Wanda Faye Malone. James, and his father, had a peanut farm west of Wetumka and also drove a propane truck for Green Oklahoma Liquified Gas for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, watching OU Football and old western movies, playing solitaire and loved spending time with his grandkids.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Nancy Jo Shaw; his brother, Sonny Shaw and son in law, David Allford.

    Survivors include his wife, Wanda Shaw of Wetumka; one son, James Shaw and wife Melissa of Coalgate and one daughter, Becky Allford of Wetumka; three grandchildren, Shelby Allford, Wyatt Allford and Natalie Shaw and niece, Rhonda Parker of Wetumka and her children and grandchildren, Jonathon Parker and wife Hayli of Krebs and Joshua Parker and wife Mariah of Holdenville, Annebel, Graycn, Weston, Emma, Kylee and Kennadi.

    Serving as pallbearers were Jonathon Parker, Josh Parker, Wyatt Allford, Buster Crawford, John Wilkerson and Payton Merritt. Services were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Wetumka, Oklahoma, and officiated Bro. Larry Bailey.
