Tena Kibby
Tena Denise Kibby went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. She passed peacefully at her home in Holdenville, Oklahoma, in the arms of her husband, Billy Jack Kibby.
Tena was born October 6, 1958, in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Ralph Duncan & Allison Lajerald (Cook) Duncan. She moved to the Yukon Peninsula with her mother when she was a little girl. She told many stories of her time there. Later she moved back and settled into Holdenville, where she spent most of her life surrounded by family and friends. She was married to Billy Jack Kibby on January 1, 1993, at the Free Will Baptist Church in Holdenville.
Tena lived a very godly life. She was a role model and an inspiration to many people. She also lived a fun life. She loved to sing,
fish, and paint, but most ly she very deeply loved the Lord, her husband of 33 years, her children and grandchildren, and her friends. She worked for a lawyer, a bank, and a few other places, but she spent most of her days caring for and praying for her family and friends.
Tena is survived by her husband, Billy Jack Kibby; her brother Tracy Brown; her sisters: Brenda Wingo, LeaAnn Thompson, and Kelly Brown; her son Deric Canary and wife Antionette; her daughter Jennifer Cleaver and husband James; grandchildren: Luke Jones and wife Christina, Skye Robertson, Caitlin Hook and husband Justin, Coby Fish and wife Myla, Grace Rhodes, Beth Rhodes, Allison Stephens and husband Nick, Kirsten Cullum, Audrey Cleaver, Ayden Myers, Chloe Sichley, Ziler Stephens, Jaxson Stephens, Zoey Stephens, Memory Stephens, Payton Stephens, Logan Stephens, Ivy Fish, and Iris Fish.
Tena was preceded in death by her mother, Lajerald, and her father, Ralph; her mother-in-law Nellie Baldwin; stepmother Audra; daughter Christina Rhodes; grandchildren Tristan Kibby and Mason Reich.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a great Christian example to everyone who knew her, and she will be greatly missed.
Graveside services were held on Friday, May 15, 2026, 10:00am at the Holdenville Cemetery Chapel, with Rev. Sam Ketcher of-
ficiating. Pallbearers were
Deric Canary, Nick Stephens, Justin Hook, James Cleaver, and Royce Sisco.
