Sharon Kay Johnson of Holdenville passed away on August 22, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on March 26, 1953 in Holdenville to Richard Harjo and Louise Burgess Harjo. She graduated from Sasakwa High School. She worked as a counselor for Seminole Nation Substance Abuse Program.

Betty Frances Adams was born April 6th, 1926 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to John Walker Critz Jr. and Etta Rose (Tripp) Critz. She passed away on August 22nd, 2018 at the age of 92. In 1933 the family moved to Wewoka and she lived there until she graduated from Wewoka High School.

Maxine Scott Harjo, “Cherk” to most Creek friends, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 18, 2018. Several family members and friends were at her bedside. Maxine was 89 years old. She was born April 28, 1929 to Tom Scott and Emma Hully Scott, the youngest of three children.

Kelly D. Shields passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, in Holden-ville at the age of 96. He was born on June 13, 1922 in Holdenville to H. I. Shields and Ella (Atkinson) Shields.

Norma Jean Hendrix passed away in Holdenville on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at the age of 83 years.   Norma was the daughter of Aubrey and Velma (Young) Stanfill, born on December 16, 1934, in Calvin, Oklahoma. She was brought up and attended schools in Calvin and Holdenville.

Susie (Lasley) Martinez, age 90 years, a longtime resident of Wetumka, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 18, 2018. Susie was born to Toby and Annie Harjo Lasley on November 18, 1927 in the Greasy Creek area of Wetumka.

LaDonna Sue “Susie” (Morris) Young, 59, passed away on August 9, 2018 in Calvin. She was born on December 1, 1958 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Wadie and Luella (Sargent) Morris. Susie graduated from Northwest Classen High School. She worked for Wrangler Inc. for many years as a seamstress.

Harold Eugene Heath, 71, died on Monday, August 6, 2018. He was born on June 23, 1947 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Charles and Mary Lois Heath. He was a devoted husband and father.

Sheila Arlene Gustin, 85, formerly of Allen, passed away on August 13, 2018 in Holdenville. She was born on July 23, 1933 in Tahlequah to Berry and Nellie (Smith) Bagwell. She worked at the nursing home for several years. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Gene Turpin passed away at his home in Atwood, Oklahoma on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at the age of 85 years. Gene was the son of Melvin Leon Turpin and Mary Etta (Cherry) Turpin, born on July 7, 1933, in Non, Oklahoma.
