Velma Ruth Huddleston, 86, former longtime resident of Weleetka, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022, in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Ruth was born on August 27th, 1935, in Pharoah, Oklahoma to Mac and Georgia (Yarborough) Bowen.

Marjorie E. Conway, 94, passed away on February 4, 2022 in College Station, Texas. Marjorie was born September 29, 1927 in Weleetka, Oklahoma to John and Lucy Earle.Marjorie attended the University of Houston and earned her Bachelor’s Degree.

Funeral services for Jonathan B. Books, resident of Weleetka, Oklahoma, were held Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Weleetka Assembly of God Church with Bro. Robert Bray officiating.

David Garvin Shropshire, was born on August 3, 1951 and he passed away on February 4, 2022. He was born in Wetumka, Oklahoma and lived as a long-time resident of Weleetka.David worked as a factory worked during his life, and he also joined the marines in 1971 and served his country through 1976.

J. D. Leach passed away at his home in Spaulding on Friday, February 4, 2022, at the age of 89 years. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 9 th , 1:00 p.m. at Capitol Heights Missionary Baptist Church, with interment at Holdenville Cemetery.

Funeral services for Finnis Pack were held Tuesday, Feburary 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the First Assembly of God Church in Wetumka, Oklahoma. Interment followed at the Wetumka Cemetery.Finnis Pack was born November 3, 1933 in Weleetka, Oklahoma to William Lester Pack and Myrtle Lee (Lancaster) Pack.

Shirley Ann Tonne 83 of Norman Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.Shirley Ann Trammell was born July 28, 1938 in Holdenville Oklahoma the daughter of Leroy V. Trammell and Imogene ‘Carlisle’ Trammell.

George W. Johnson Jr. (GG), age 45, went to be with his Father on January 31, 2022. He was born April 28, 1976 to Nancy and George Johnson Sr.George was a loving husband, father, uncle, brother, son and friend. He met his wife Donna Basham and they married November 2000.

Doris Leona Sumner Lewis passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at her residence in Yukon, surrounded by her daughters, sister, and granddaughter.Doris was born May 15, 1933 to Grover and Iva Sumner in Hughes County, Oklahoma. She graduated Gerty High School, Class of 1951.

Lenval Ray Woodruff, 88, of Calvin, Oklahoma passed away from natural causes on January 20, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family.Lenval was born on July 24, 1933, to Homer and Ida Woodruff in Hanna, Oklahoma. His family moved to Calvin, Oklahoma when he was 7 years old.
