    Makai Blades, grandson of Donnie and Shirley Nero, senior football and track athletic at Glenpool High School visited with track coachers at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas last week. He is looking at running track there. While there, he met Dr.

    Weleetka football season ends

    Weleetka lost to Davenport 46-8 Friday evening to end their season. The Outlaws managed only one touchdown. It came in the second quarter when Devin Davis returned the kick-off 82 yards for a touchdown. Brennon Lewis passed to Daxton Carter for the two point conversion.

    Stuart Cross Country Team Qualifies for State

    The Stuart High School Girls Cross Country Team competed on Saturday, October 19 at the 2A Regional Meet in Kiefer. The team placed 6th overall and qualified to run at the State meet held in Shawnee on October 26th.  Their coach is NaDenna La-Varnway.

    We had 8 Moon domino players Monday night! They were Barbara Tiger and Selma Fitzhugh; Joyce Brinlee and Arjean Williams; Cindy McDaniel and Sharon Dilday; and Shirley Hardwick and Lynn Marquis.   At Table #1 - Cindy and Sharon could do no wrong and they hit each other on every turn.

    Chieftains fall at Dewar

    The Wetumka Chieftains lost a playoff game Friday night against the Dewar Dragons, 62-28. It was a tough battle for the semi-young Wetumka squad against a seasoned Dewar team which is ranked as one of the best in Class B.

    Graham-Dustin Chieftains heading into playoffs

    The mighty Graham/ Dustin continued to roll up the points Friday defeating Paoli 57-12. As has become their trademark they rolled up an early lad and never trailed. The Chieftains put 21 points on the board in the first quarter and added an amazing 36 more in the second period.

    Wolverines score 3 touchdowns in final game

    The Holdenville Wolverines scored three touchdowns in their final game, but lost to the Chandler Lions, 71-18. The first quarter was a scorefest, but Chandler racked up the most points. However, Holdenville jumped on the scoreboard first with a 60-yard kickoff return by senior Tavian Buck.
