    Chieftains fall in semi-finals

    The Wetumka Chieftains’ season came to an end Friday night at the hands of the Regent Prep Rams, 69-22. Even though the Rams went ahead early by a substantial margin, the Chieftains continued to fight until the end of the in the Class B state semifinal.

    Semi-final game will be in Choctaw at 7:00

    After traveling 190 miles one-way, the Wetumka Chieftains beat the Burns Flat-Dill City Eagles Friday night to advance to the Final Four in the Oklahoma High School Class B Football Playoffs. “It was a long trip,” head coach Darrell Reid said.

    Bedlam game highlights

    Sooners escape cowboys for a bedlam victory....  Offense ruled the day as OSU gained 640 yards and OU 702 yards.  OSU had 501 passing yards. Taylor Cornelius connected for 210 passing yards and 2 tds to Tylan Wallace.

    ‘Cardiac’ Chieftains pull off last second victory

    Just when all was lost Friday night, the Wetumka Chieftains dug deep and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, beating the Depew Hornets, 16-14. With the win, the Chieftains advanced in the Oklahoma Class B Playoffs.

    Wetumka ‘passes’ the test; advances in playoffs

    The Wetumka Chieftains let the ball fly Friday night and beat the Gans Grizzlies to advance in the Oklahoma Class B Playoffs. The Chieftains had four receiving touchdowns -along with three rushing touchdowns -- en route to a 54-6 victory. Most of the damage occurred in the first half.

    Graham/Dustin makes playoffs

    Graham/Dustin lost their first game of the season to Paoli 44-6. Paoli scored in every quarter while the only one touchdown in the first period. Graham/Dustin had a total of only 60 yards on the ground led by Keeian Heneha with 46 yards on 11 carries.
