Sucker Day plans being made

The Wetumka area Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture held their regular luncheon, prepared by the Wetumka Hyehcka Club, and meeting on Tuesday, August 9. The Committee reports were given to the members in attendance. Membership is up to 27 as of August. We still have a few months to reach our ambitious goal of 50 members for the year of 2022! In development, it was reported that the Family Dollar/Dollar Tree is open for business. Mrs. Dyer said we would try to plan a ribbon-cutting and a presentation of the First Dollar of Profit as soon as possible. We will try to present the other First Dollar of Profit certificates to the four other new businesses that have yet to receive theirs, on the same day. It was also reported that the much anticipated Farmers Market should be completed by the end of the week!

Wilson took the bait—he admits—and switched from one promotional service and product to another at a lower price in order to generate leads for his online business, but after a month of using the new service, he was totally frustrated. When he called with a question, no one answered the phone. When he sent an email, no one replied. One day he decided to ask for help from the first company he’d used. He’d always had excellent service in the past, so maybe he could receive it again. He gave them a call.
