Geralyn Haney chosen as delegate to Washington D.C. Youth Tour

Ada, OK, 3/11/22– Juniors Geralyn Haney from Stuart High School, Faith Stout from Ada High School and Ava Bolin from Ada High School have been chosen as delegates to the annual Washington D.C. Youth Tour, an all-expense paid leadership experience coordinated by the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives and sponsored by People’s Electric Cooperative (PEC).

Jordan Marie Blades named to the Metro Lakes All Conference Basketball Team 2021-22

Jordan Marie Blades was recently named to the Metro Lakes All Conference Basketball 2021 - 2022 team. Jordan is a junior at Glenpool High School where she is very active in sports. After basketball season, Jordan runs for the Glenpool track team. Her events include the 200-meter dash, 4x1, 4x2, and 4x4 relays. Jordan says she loves school, and her plans are to get a scholarship to play a sport in college. Jordan is the daughter of Marvin and Tanya Blades, and the sister to Jada Ann and Makai Lee. Jada is a 5 th grader at Glenpool and Makai is attending Pitt State on a track scholarship. Jordan’s proud grandparents are Donnie and Shirley Nero of Clearview.

Billy Walker is doing well and remains in the home of his daughter Tasha in Seminole. Please continue your prayers for Billy as well as those on our sick list: L.C. Carson, Sharon Patton, Dorothy Loggins, Bobby Joe Forshee, Marjorie Plunkett, Kurrilue Johnson, and Johnny West. HALO to hold special fundraiser Friday night

Holdenville Animal Lovers Organization Inc (HALO) will be holding a special fundraising event for Holdenville Animal Shelter on Friday, March 25 from 5 to 7 pm at the Barnard Memorial United Methodist Church located at 8 & Gulf Streets in Holdenville. The fundraiser will be a MACARONI DINNER FOR PUPPERONI’S AND CAT-ERONI’S with a Special Art Show and Sale with Pouring Art by Holdenville Artist Amanda Price Jiminez. Tickets for the dinner are $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for children 6 to 12, preschoolers are free. Carry out is available. A LARGE amount of shell macaroni was donated to HALO by the Community Market and all kinds of dishes with macaroni in them will be served! Goulash with Macaroni, Macaroni and Cheese, Macaroni Salads, Soup with Macaroni, alfredo macaroni, etc. etc. etc.! Bread, drink, green Salad and dessert are also included.
