Steve Melvin Hilton was born May 24, 1946. He went home to be with Jesus on June 13, 2023, at the age of 77.

Steve was born in Joplin Missouri. He was preceded in death by Ike and Edna Hilton, three brothers Bob, John, Joe and one sister Marthanne and was survived by his wife Beth of 31 years. His four daughters, Laurie and husband Michael of Texas, Daughter Dyan and husband Rick of California, Daughter Roxanne of Texas, Daughter Heather and husband Jeff of California, and stepson Robert and wife Jessica of California. 12 grandchildren Jacqueline, Joshua, Carli, Cayla, Cassie, Marina, Shelby, Grant, Tyson, Robert, Alyssa, Garrett, and five great-grandchildren, Parker, Heather, Bradon, Legacy and Loyalty. He loved each and every one of them dearly.

Steve made his home and raised his four girls in California and worked as a crane operator extraordinaire for many years and made lifelong friends. Steve had a way of making people laugh and they loved being around him.

Steve moved to Oklahoma in 2000 with his wife Beth. He loved hunting and fishing and teaching his kids and grandkids how to hunt with him. All of them have many fond memories with him. Steve also loved his furbabies so very much. He had special birthday parties, and he took Millie on tractor rides, hunting, and to the Coffee Clutch at Alton Bargers Coffee shop every morning. He truly loved them.

Steve also loved the Word of God. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior as a young man. He loved Jesus and was so grateful for his salvation. Steve also cared deeply and prayed for this country; he was so proud to be an American.

Steve lived life to the fullest and enjoyed so many different things and tinkering around his ranch. Steve loved sweets and was known to polish off a whole pie and half gallon of ice cream and leave an empty pie pan for the rest of us.

Steve loved to tell tall tales and wild stories. Never a dull moment with him!!

Steve loved being surrounded by family and friends and his special nurse Suzy. He leaves a big hole in the hearts of all who knew him and will truly be missed by them.
