Chamber of Commerce president Donna Dyer announced Tuesday that the Wetumka Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring a Christmas Lighting Contest this year. Beautiful plaques will be given to the top two businesses and the top two residential winners.
The annual Kiwanis Christmas parade will be held on Saturday, December 14th on Wetumka’s Main Street. This year the club will be having a drawing, in which 12 bicycles and 3 Light-up Scooters will be given away! The club will also be giving away 10 turkeys and 10 hams.
ONE OF HUGHES COUNTY’S MOST WELL KNOWN COUPLES BUD AND ARLENE LAWSON recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They are one of the finest Christian couples we have ever known and have been a blessing to so many over the years. Congratulations to this wonderful couple!

Several members of the Clearview OHCE Brown Suggas attended the Okfuskee County OHCE Winter meeting on December 10th in Okemah at the Okfuskee County Fair Building. Members from Clearview, Okemah, and Paden are were in attendance.
