Sophie is a 5th grade Wetumka Chieftain Cheerleader. She has cheered for her Chieftains for 3 years.  She is the Daughter of Debbie Chitwood and the late Cotton Chitwood.  When she grows up she want to be a famous gymnast.  

McAlester Man Charged with Stuart Burglary

A McAlester man has plead guilty to one felony count of burglary in the second degree and one felony count of larceny of merchandise from retailer in connection to the July 244th break in at a Stuart convenience store. Eric T.

Wetumka hosts Dewar Friday night

Several mismatches led to a Wetumka loss Friday night by a large margin at the hands of the Davenport Bulldogs. The score after four quarters of play was 62-14, but most of the damage occurred in the first half. The Bulldogs scored 24 in the first quarter and 32 in the second.

Cruise Night Huge Success!

Cruise Night in Wetumka was a huge success. Vehicles of all shapes and sizes were jam-packed on the streets of Wetumka. Everyone enjoyed the cruising, burnout contest, raffle contests and the food vendors. Sue Leftwich won the 50/50 raffle and Tina Dilday won the rifle raffle.
