Donnie and Shirley Nero and Marilyn Jackson traveled to Kansas City, Missouri to surprise their cousin Gerald Morris for his 56thbirthday. He was born on August 18th and shares the same birthday as his cousin, Marguerite French, for which he is very proud of. He hopes to live as long as she has.

The Home Extension group of the Brown Suggas met on Monday night, their monthly meeting. Items of discussion included the upcoming Okfuskee County Free Fair the first week of September.

Donnie and Shirley Nero of Clearview attended the 6oth Anniversary of the Oklahoma City Sit-In Celebration on their first day of a four-day event held at various sites in Oklahoma City. They attended the opening session at the Oklahoma History Center.

On Aug. 4th, we had our ice cream social.  Glenda Stinson brought all the toppings for a banana split complete with the cherry on top!  How special is that! We had two homemade freezers full and lots of desserts including peach cobbers. Nolan and Linda Spaugy surprised us with a visit!

6th grade Wetumka Chieftain cheerleader Kogee has been in cheer for 4 years. She wants to be a vet and a dancer. She loves singing, dancing and sewing with her grandmother and cheering for the Chieftains.

A Dustin man is still missing. Thomas Clinton, 70, was last seen at his home in Dustin on Friday, August 10 at approximately 3:00 p.m. according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Clinton was driving a black and white 1991 Chevrolet SLV pickup with Oklahoma license plate EKW-531.
