The Hughes County Fair will be held August 22nd thru 25th at the County Expo barn on Highway 270. The Spelling Bee will be on Thursday, August 23rd , at 4:30.  There will be four grade groups, 2-4, 5-6, 7-9, and 10-12.  Plaques will be given to the winners in each group.

Investigative auditors from the Oklahoma Office of the State Auditor and Inspector have begun work in Calvin.

First Degree Murder charges are filed today against all three suspects in the June 24th shooting event in Holdenville at the Pruett’s grocery store.
