Carolyn Mae Mathis passed away Monday, April 8, 2019 at Heritage Village Nursing Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 78. Carolyn was born May 22, 1940 in Atwood, Oklahoma to Raymond Earl Jones and Meddie Mae Phillips. Carolyn graduated from Holdenville public schools in 1958.

Our father, Bob L Loftis as he liked to be called, began his life’s journey in a carefree, loving upbringing along with his two living brothers, and parents. He was raised during quite an era in the U.S. just before, during and after the second World War.

Troy ‘Bud’ McCoy was born on May 10, 1936, in Cloudy, Oklahoma. Most haven’t heard of Cloudy, Oklahoma. It’s close to Atoka, Oklahoma. Bud’s parents, Chester and Senora (Parish) McCoy, had moved there to work in the logging industry, alongside Shep and Rosie McCoy.

Bob Loftis passed away in Muskogee, Oklahoma on Monday, April 1, 2019, at the age of 89 years. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 5, 2019, at the East Main Church of Christ in Holdenville, with interment at Holdenville Cemetery. Full obituary in next week’s Tribune.

Virginia Ruth, the first-born child of Thelma Ruth (Brown) and Ezra Le Roy Estes Jr., was born December 9, 1931 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. In Late December 1948, Clyde introduced Melvin to Virginia on a blind date just months before she graduated from Dalhart High School in 1949.

Troy J. ‘Bud’ McCoy passed away in Holdenville on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at the age of 82 years. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, at Lamar Cemetery. Full obituary in next week’s Tribune.

John Elliott (Bunk) Herrod was born December 15, 1956 and passed from this life on March 28, 2019 at this home in Ada, Oklahoma. John served in the Oklahoma Army National Guards Co.C(-)1BN 180th Infantry Brigade and discharged on April 10, 1998.

Annette Michele Baker passed away in an automobile accident in Holden-ville, Oklahoma on Wednesday, March 27, 2019. She was 58 years old. Annette was the daughter of Robert & Velda (Cook) Doyle, born on July 28, 1960, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Joyce York passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019, at the Holdenville General Hospital. She was 80 years of age. Joyce was born November 17, 1938 in Gerty, Oklahoma.  She graduated from Moss Public Schools.  Joyce liked to fish, enjoyed the lake house, and was a gardener.

Rebecca Wagner-Orr passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019, in Holdenville, O k l a h o m a at the age of 69. Rebecca was born September 10, 1949 in Holdenville, O k l a h o m a to Walter Loron Gordon and Mary Marie (McEwin) Gordon.
