Bruce V. Roberts was born January 5, 1949 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Bill Roberts and Dottie (Stringfellow) Roberts. He grew up in Holdenville where he graduated high school in 1967.Bruce attended ECU one year and spent six years in the National Guard as a SPS-E5.

We celebrate today the life of Marvin Deryl Tampleton. He was born May 15, 1945 and was the youngest son of William and Birdie Tampleton. As a young man, Marvin joined the Army where he learned how to drive a truck.He loved driving trucks and made this his life’s work after his stint in the Army.

Wendell Fay Williams, 87, of Stillwater, died Friday, February 2, 2024.Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the Bible Baptist Church in Stillwater. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Wetumka Cemetery at Wetumka, Oklahoma.

Curtis Dean Ogle passed away Friday, January 26th, 2024 at his home in Calvin, Oklahoma at the age of 64.Curtis was born July 17th, 1959 in El Reno, Oklahoma to Duane Ogle and Carol (Cooper) Ogle. He was raised in Yukon, Oklahoma. Curtis graduated from Yukon High School.

Marguerite Bicknell French/Logan Born February 19, 1926 in Muskogee, OK Died January 21, 2024 in Austin, TX Marguerite grew up in Wetumka, attending school there and participating in band, cheerleading, and other activities, and working in her father’s drugstore.

Janie “Ab” Abernathy was born on July 19, 1954 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Earl and Patsy Abernathy.She passed from this earth on January 28, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by family and friends.

Phyllis Jean Hearn age 81, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024 in Holdenville, OK. She was born December 23, 1942 in Wewoka, OK to W.A. Horne and Ruth (Rutherford) Horne.She married Ronnie Hearn June 22, 1965 in Long Beach, California and to this marriage was two girls, Rhonda and Susan.

A memorial service for Donald Ray Bowman will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Wetumka, Oklahoma with Bro. John Roberts officiating.Donald Ray Bowman was born October 10, 1961 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to TommyandLouise(Maxwell) Bowman.

Funeral services for Jesse D. Givens were held Saturday, January 26, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Kialegee Life Center of Wetumka. A prayer service was held Thursday, 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Wetumka. Wake services were Friday at the Kialegee Life Center at 7:00 PM.
