    Marli Richmond wins 3rd in the Nation

    Marli Richmond, daughter of Walter and Jo Richmond, recently attended the USTA Trampoline and Tumbling National Competition, in Charleston, WV. Marli competed in the 12-year-old Novice girls’ category. She won third place in the nation on trampoline, and sixth place in the nation on double mini.

    Calvin senior has incredible year

    When the Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association released its list of All-State selections Calvin senior, Kelcie Howell, was an alternate. However, recently Calvin head coach Nathan Holland was informed that the OGBCA has bumped Howell up to the main Small East All-State squad.

    The Oklahoma African American Educators Hall of Fame, Inc. offers a scholarship generously donated by Mr. and Mrs. William “Bill” Ford of Shawnee, Oklahoma. Mr. Ford played football under coach Watson at Shawnee High School. Coach Watson had a major impact on the life and success of Mr.

    Makai Lee Blades Takes State

    Makai Blades takes first in the 100 meters, state runner-up in the 200, and 6th in the 4x800 relay at the 5A -6A State Track meet in Moore, Oklahoma. Makai is the son of Tanya Nero Blades and grandson of Donnie and Shirley Nero.

    State High School Track Winners

    Aaliyah Drake, daughter of Felicia Drake and a Junior at Weleetka High School, placed 2nd in the 100 and 200 at the Oklahoma State Track on May 4, 2019. Brennon placed 2nd in the 100 and 3rd in the 200. Their families are very proud of their success at state and is looking forward to next year.
