Donald “Duck” Whitfield was born September 9, 1936 in Carson, Oklahoma to Robert and Myrtle (Whitwell) Whitfield and passed from this life following a brief illness on February 16, 2020 in Tulsa at the age of 83. Duck was raised in Carson and attended Carson Grade School.

Graveside service for Mark Anthony Townsend, 72 of Muskogee, Oklahoma, former resident of Holdenville, was held 11:00AM Monday February 3, 2020 at Holdenville Cemetery. He passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2020, in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

David Jimboy passed away in McAlester, Oklahoma on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at the age of 66 years. David was the son of William & Helen (Harjo) Jimboy, born on August 20, 1953, in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was brought up in Sapulpa and Okemah.

Andrew Sanford Peerson of Holdenville passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020 in Frisco, Texas at the age of 83. Andrew was born July 11, 1936 in a car somewhere between Lamar and Holdenville most likely in Horntown, Oklahoma to Otus Peerson and Cecil Huff Peerson.

J.D. Olden passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at home in Denton, Texas at the age of 73. J.D. was born February 1, 1947 in J.D. was born February 1, 1947 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Cleveland Olden and Nicey Stroud Olden. He graduated from Booker T.

Funeral services for Wynetta Posey were held Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Hutche Chuppa Indian Baptist Church. Wake services were held Tuesday, February 11th, 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home, 403 S. Main Street, Wetumka, Oklahoma.

Alias Dewayne Wood, son of Anthony Wood Jr. and Meagan Spencer, entered and departed from this world on February 5, 2020. He is survived by his parents; siblings Abbigail Wood, Angel Wood, and Jaxon Murrison of the home; grandparents Anthony Wood Sr.

Milliana Dashalynn Williams passed away February 3rd, 2020 at OU Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born February 3rd, 2020 to Diontra (Riko) Simone Williams and Rachel Irene Arguelles of Holdenville, Oklahoma.

Warren Gene “Sonny” Bryant Jr. passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020 in Seminole at the age of 64. He was born August 23, 1955 in Okemah to Warren Sr. and Jewell Bryant. Warren graduated from Sasakwa High School and later graduated from Southeastern College.

Bennie Harold McDonald passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020, at his home in Calvin, Oklahoma at the age of 86. Bennie was born September 10, 1933 in a log cabin in Stuart, Oklahoma to Joe McDonald and Mable (Bannon) McDonald.  He graduated from Calvin Public School.
