May 8, 1953 – July 6, 2023Chynitha “Neat” Marie Allen, born May 8, 1953, in Wichita, Kansas, passed away July 6, 2023, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Delbert Allen and her daughter, Brandi Allen. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edmond “Q.T.

Dana Lynnette Davis age 43, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023 in Wewoka, OK. She was born August 18, 1979 in Holdenville, OK to Danny Logan and Susan (Jackson) Parks.She graduated from Wewoka in 1997. She worked as the Deputy Clerk at Seminole County Assessor’s Office for many years.

Michael Gerald Hightower passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2023 at his home in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 73.Mike was born March 27, 1950 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Gerald B. Hightower and Elaine Eleanor (Edgin) Hightower.Mike graduated from Palm Springs High School, California in 1968.

Larry Leon Weger passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023 in Hot Springs, Arkansas at the age of 72.Larry was born July 11, 1951 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Ishmael Weger and Florene (Carter) Weger. Larry attended Holdenville Public Schools.

Naomi J. House, age 87, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023. Naomi was born in Sasakwa, Oklahoma on April 15, 1936 to Leonard Epperley Sr. and Dovie (Moody) Epperley. Naomi spoke of her “raising” being at Little River.

Kevin Shawn Deere passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 48.Kevin was born March 31, 1975, in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Benjamin Deere and Wanda (Cox) Deere. Kevin graduated from Holdenville High School in 1993.

Funeral services for Curtis Dewayne Harjo were held Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Okfuskee Indian Community Center north of Okemah. Interment followed at the Hick Family Cemetery. Wake services were Friday evening also at the Community Center.
