Funeral services for Kortnie Michelle Wilbourn will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Wetumka, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at the Wetumka Cemetery.

The community of Holdenville is saddened by the loss of Betty Whitton, a beloved and lifelong resident who passed away at Heritage Village Retirement Center. Betty’s life, rich with memories and contributions, spanned nearly a century.

Nellie Jean Kincade was born February 22, 1928 to Barney Tiger and Cynthia (Jacobs) Tiger and passed from this life August 15, 2023 in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 95.Nellie was raised in the Hanna area and as a girl attended the Eufaula Indian Boarding School.

Harold Gene (HG) Leach passed from this life July 18, 2023 at his home in Okemah. Harold was born April 17, 1939 to Bill and Jewel Smith Leach at Seminole, OK where he lived until he was nine years old. The family then moved to the Bethel community north of Holdenville.

WilliamWilliam “Johnny” Gerald Freeman passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at his home in Sasakwa, Oklahoma, at the age of 75.Johnny was born November 26, 1947 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Charles Napoleon Freeman and Freda Victoria (Cathey) Freeman. Johnny graduated from Sasakwa High School.

Herbert (Hub) Lee Sneed of Wewoka passed from this life on August 9, 2023. He was born in Calvin on August 3, 1929 to the late Liss and Beulah Sneed and was raised in the Calvin area.He married Venita Tollett Sneed on October 5, 1949 in Holdenville.

Jimmie David ‘J. D.’ Norton Sr. passed away at his home in Holdenville on Friday, August 11, 2023, at the age of 80 years.J. D. was the son of Luther Franklin Norton and Neva Jewel (Null) Norton, born on April 1, 1943, in Holdenville, Oklahoma, where he was brought up and attended schools.

Josie Elaine Brooke Moore passed from this life on July 10, 2023 in Elk City, Oklahoma.She is survived by her parents, Brittany Rogers and Tanner Moore, sister Jazlynn and brother Jaxon of the home. Her Grandparents Marvin and Debbie Rogers of Canute, Oklahoma.
