Billy Ray Byrd was born in Wetumka March 12, 1934 to James Guy and Katy Lenore Byrd. He passed from this life at his home North of town on May 25, 2023 following an extended illness.Billy went to Hickory Ridge and Wetumka Schools and quit school in the 8th grade to help on the family farm.

J.CJ.C. Kanard age 85, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023 in Holdenville, OK. He was born April 21, 1938 in Dustin, OK to the late Albert Rice and Rosanna Kanard Powell. He married Freda Faye (Snow) Kanard on October 16, 1959 in Wewoka, OK and she preceded him in death on July 20, 2010.

He at tended 1 year at North Eastern State.

Nellie Blankenship passed away Sunday, May 21st, 2023 at her home in Rock dale, Texas at the age of 98.Nellie was born July 28th, 1924 in Holdenville, Oklaho ma to Wesley Holt and Stel- la Elizabeth (Price) Holt. Nellie graduated from Holden- ville High School in the Class of 1944.
